I am the Special Education Bilingual Diagnostician for Stroman M.S. I have been at Stroman since it became a middle school. Before that, I was the diagnostician at Crain M.S., Memorial Stroman, and Howell. This will be my 22nd year in VISD, and my 30th year in Education. Before being a diagnostician, I taught SpEd 3rd-5th grade math and language arts, 6th-8th math, reading, and English, and 7th-8th Spanish.
I graduated from Abilene Christian University with a Bachelor of Science in Education, and a Master of Education. After teaching Special Education, I decided that I could help students by becoming an Educational Diagnostician. I love my job even with the stress it comes. Every day is a new day, full of meetings, testing, parents, teachers, administrators, and anything else the students may need.
I am the father of five kids, and grandfather of 3.7 grandkids (my second granddaughter is due in January 2021!). All my kids attended VISD, and my middle daughter became a teacher and administrator.
I am excited to re-start a new school year. My office is on the 2nd floor of the library. Students can stop by to say hello or if they need help. If I cannot find a solution, I'll find someone that can.
