Committed to Success
My goal is to prepare your child for the STAAR test and to provide him or her with the tools they need to be successful in high school and in years to come.
In a typical day, my students will be actively involved in a hands-on learning activity, collaborating with peers, and practicing skills using real-world examples. By employing many different methods of instruction, I make sure that all students are able to achieve success through mastery of the curriculum. My goal is to show students the importance of Math in everyday life.
Education and Experience
I grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I have earned a Bachelor’s degree (Temple University), two Master’s degrees (University of Maryland & University of Florida), and a Doctorate (University of Florida). Before coming to teaching, I worked for nearly 20 years as a public health and biomedical researcher as well as a consulting social scientist on projects for state and federal agencies, the Executive Office of the President, the US Congress and the National Science Foundation. This year will be my 5th year working as a Special Education Teacher.
