History of Chandler Elementary
Chandler Elementary is proud to be named after Charles O’Hara Chandler. Mr. Chandler served the Victoria ISD as the Superintendent of Schools from 1955-1974. During his leadership, Victoria’s school district grew from 4,000 students to over 13,000, causing him to open nine new campuses and add classrooms to four existing campuses to expand the district.
Chandler opened its doors on February 26, 2001, after the Stanly staff and students marched from Stanly Elementary to Chandler Elementary.
