AVID: Advancement Via Individual Determination

AVID is an elective course that is offered to 6th - 12th graders in VISD at Cade, Howell, Patti Welder, STEM, East and West. Torres Elementary is an AVID Elementary Campus. 

Mission: AVID’s mission is to close the opportunity gap by preparing all students for college and career readiness and success in a global society.
