The District Foster Care Liaison assists with facilitating the enrollment in or transfer to a public school of a child in the district who is in the conservatorship of the state. I am able to coordinate with local child welfare partners, such as DFPS, to make sure that foster care students do not lose credits earned at previous schools and help encourage successful transition into adulthood and post-secondary opportunities.
