General Information
Bus routes and stops are designed to operate as efficiently as possible while still meeting the needs of the students. Changes to routes and stops may occur at any time in response to ridership, construction, traffic patterns, etc.
Typically, bus stops are designated at street corners and at landmarks such as community parks, community mailboxes, etc. In some areas, stops may be designated at specific addresses.
Students will be allowed to board and exit the bus only at their designated bus stop location. Service to bus stops may be discontinued or stops eliminated due to low ridership or non-use at any point during the year.
Buses will run as close as possible to the published schedule. However, the first several weeks of school are a period of adjustment. Parents should discuss with their children a plan of action if the bus is missed. When mechanical or other problems cause a bus to run behind schedule, the bus will make every stop, regardless of how late it is.
Route Information
The Victoria ISD Transportation Department uses Transfinder's Infofinder tool which provides parents and students with school bus pickup times and locations. Click on the Transfinder button below and follow these three easy steps:
Enter your house number and street name.
Click 'Search'.
Click on the stop in the list to highlight the location on the map.
Please ensure your child is at the bus stop five-minutes prior to the scheduled pick-up as pick-up times can fluctuate due to traffic and other events.
Please note that this tool does not provide bus stop information for mid-day shuttles or special needs transportation. Households with students who utilize special need transportation services will need to contact the Transportation office to obtain their student's specific transportation information.
If you cannot find your student's route information, please contact the Transportation Department at (361)578-1538.
