Our Purpose

* To coordinate and direct school safety and security on all District buildings and land under applicable statute and law.

* To act as the liaison between the school district and local, county, regional, and state entities that deal with school safety and/or emergency response.

* To serve as the District Emergency Management Coordinator and lead emergency response operations.

* To collaborate with appropriate personnel to provide staff, student, and community safety and emergency operations training.

* To keep the VISD community informed of District safety & emergency operations policies, procedures, and plans based on changes to federal, state, and local regulations.

* To complete school surveys and reports regarding safety and security to the school board and state entities.
