Victoria ISD Launches Third Annual VOICE Survey to Gather Community Feedback

Victoria Independent School District (VISD) is excited to announce the opening of its third annual VOICE Survey, offering families, staff, and community members a valuable opportunity to share their insights and shape the future of the district. VISD recognizes the critical role families play in the educational journey of students. By working together with parents and community members, the district aims to create a premier learning environment that equips students with the skills they need for success. The survey will be open from January 13 through January 23 and aims to collect feedback that will guide key decisions for the 2025-26 school year.

The VOICE Survey, a hallmark of VISD’s commitment to Effective Communication, aligns with the district’s strategic plan by fostering open dialogue and building trust within the community. By consolidating input from all stakeholders into a single, streamlined platform, the district seeks to simplify the feedback process while ensuring that every voice is heard.

“This survey is not just a questionnaire—it’s a chance for our community to influence meaningful change,” said Ashley Alvarez, executive director of communications and public relations for VISD. “We are committed to transparency and using this feedback to guide decisions that will benefit our students, staff, and families.”

The survey focuses on key priorities, including student growth, instructional improvements, and ensuring families have resources they need to ensure student success. and resource allocation. Responses will help VISD identify campus and district needs and directly inform how VISD allocates resources at the campus and district levels.

Participants will have the opportunity to express interest in joining the district parent advisory meeting, where families can engage in face-to-face discussions with district leaders. These sessions allow parents and guardians to provide input on policies, share ideas, and collaborate on improving programs and services.

“We understand the value of your time, which is why we’ve streamlined the process to make it as convenient as possible,” Alvarez said. “If you participate in only one survey this year, let it be this one. Your input is essential in shaping a stronger future for our district.”

As a critical voice for shaping VISD’s future, please be sure to share your thoughts in the VOICE survey. Your insights help us better understand what programs and resources are most impactful for our students’ success. The survey can be accessed online at www.visd.net/voicesurvey, and responses are confidential. VISD encourages all stakeholders to take advantage of this opportunity to have their voices heard.
