Six of Victoria West High School’s girls powerlifters have advanced to the Texas High School Women’s Powerlifting Association’s (THSWPA) Class 5A Division I State Championship to be held March 19 at the American Bank Center in Corpus Christi.
The Lady Warriors finished fifth out of 56 teams.

97 LB Class: Jazmeen Reyna, junior- Second Place; Karla Linares, junior - Fifth Place; Analiese Umphres, Freshman- 16th Place
105 LB Class: Ashlyn Norton, senior- 10th Place
123 LB Class: Zariah Dean, sophomore - Ninth Place
220 LB Class: Alyse Gonzales junior - Second Place
