Victoria ISD is looking for volunteers to serve on our Community Based Accountability Task Force. The task force will develop and design our community-based accountability system from our strategic plan.
Five community members are needed for the task force.
With the vision of preparing students for their &, VISD is working to create a transformational shift in education. With our community-based accountability system, we will:
Value our students as being more than scores on a single measure
Develop local standards that empower students to excel on their chosen pathways
Develop and implement measures that inform student progress, readiness, and achievement
Communicate growth of the whole child in a transparent and comprehensive manner
Encourage students to pursue their passions and aptitudes
Sustain a culture that empowers every student to succeed and share their success stories
If you are interested in serving on this task force, please submit your name here by 5 p.m. on January 23, 2023. Notifications of selection to serve on the task force will be sent out by January 30, 2023.
The first task force meeting will be held on February 9, 2023, at the VISD Connections Center from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and breakfast and lunch will be served.
