The Role of a Social-Emotional Behavior Specialist or Student Support Coordinator (High Schools)
Each campus has an assigned Social-Emotional Behavior Specialist (SEBS) that is focused on providing.
professional development in SEL and PBIS
Explicit SEL instruction
Integrating SEL skills and concepts into the school system and through small group and individual interventions.
Developing strong partnerships between schools, classrooms, families, and communities.
SEBS works closely with campus administrators and school counselors to develop and implement effective SEL goals and strategies that are campus-wide and student-centered.
